Atlantic Ocean (E) and the Gulf of Mexico (W), Florida is bordered by Georgia
and Alabama (N).
It is known as the Sunshine State. "Florida" is a Spanish adjective which means
"flowery" because it was discovered by Spanish explorers during the Easter
season, or Pascua Florida in Spanish.
